Take off your hat, kick off your shoes,
I know you ain't goin' anywhere.
Run 'round the town singin' your blues,
I know you ain't goin' anywhere.

You've always been a good friend of mine,
But you're always sayin' "Farewell",
And the only time that you're satisfied,
Is with your feet in the wishing well.

Throw down your gun, you might shoot yourself...
Or is that what you're tryin' to do?
Put up a fight you believe to be right,
And someday the sun will shine through.

You've always got something to hide,
Something you just can't tell,
And the only time that you're satisfied,
Is with your feet in the wishing well.

And I know what you're wishing for -- love in a peaceful world...

You've always been a good friend of mine,
But you're always sayin' "Farewell",
And the only time that you're satisfied,
Is with your feet in the wishing well.

LAST MONTH: The month of February was probably the biggest month of MY life but quiet here at TheMusicalRevolution. My two biggest dreams in life are to have children and make a living making music. Last month, one dream was realized and I'm well on my way to achieving the other but I do apologize to Revolutionaries around the world. TheMusicalRevolution has no time for sleep...

IMPORTANT!: How much do you LOVE TICKETMASTER? I bet all of you Bruce Springsteen and Leonard Cohen fans aren't too enamored. Have you visited the website ticketsnow.com? Fans of the above artists had to get their tickets at TICKETSNOW and pay 2-3 times the face value. Oh. A hubbub ensued. Legal action was taken. Ticketmaster settled but admitted no wrongdoing. And now they are merging with the largest promoter in the US, Live Nation... depressing :(

NEWS: Back in the early 80s, MJ ripped off Manu Dibango in his song "Wanna Be Starting Something". He was sued. Now he's sold his stolen sample to Rihanna - YaY the little guy... Kasabian, Stereophonics, Antony & the Johnsons, Florence and the Machine, James Corden and Matthew Horne all performed at Teenage Cancer Trust gigs in February at Royal Albert Hall. http://www.teenagecancertrust.org... Do you remember the name Patti Santangelo? She's the lady that the RIAA was suing for downloading who didn't know how to use a computer. Well, they didn't get her but they did get her kids! Don't be young.. Stay computer illiterate... Oasis and Bjork have been banned from performing in China. Seems that they are Tibetan sympathizers. Have an opinion will you? Then you can't make a living! Fair enough?..

PROPAGANDA: Promoter/Agent (aka Satan): "Alright. You beat up her. You blow the whistle on him. I will get a bunch of my friends to voice their support and we should all make out like bandits. Hey it worked for Pam and Tommy Lee..." Em to release "Relapse" sooner. Dre to release "Detox" a little later. Both to collaborate with Steve Adler and Andy Dick on project tentatively titled "Sober";).. Miley is a RACIST!!! You saw the pictures -- her making those faces. I guess Jim Carrey is the Klan leader then... Did INXS kick out their ex singer/reality TV fave J.D.? Or. Did they just forget that he was their singer? They're old.. he's forgettable... :D

Still Untitled - A WIP From The Upcoming Album Tentatively Titled S.A.L.A.G.I.A. by i220 & Speak Lexia

The curse goes back thousands of years.
The emperor of hell -- advocate of fear,
Can bear witness to the unholy burden.
I hate to recount who foreclosed on the garden.
I don't know if I should. Why? Of course I should.
It's for our own good -- to be understood.

Kings and Queens remember obscenities,
But we were the ones who delivered amenities.
Mine was what turned on and off starving.
I can't possibly speak of responsibility unnerving.
I don't know if I should. Why? Of course I should.
It's for our own good -- to be understood.

Ceasars wasted what Czars tasted.
Vikings and Pirates weren't the only ones lambasted.
We turned off the tap of our own self-control.
I've learned it's not wise to strip down the soul.
I don't know if I should. Why? Of course I should.
It's for our own good -- to be understood.

Presidents/Vice Presidents/Ministers of Prime.
Time after time, we've accepted their dime.
But, it's our 100. I'm the centurion.
The dominion may feel recourse due to the opinion.
I don't know if I should. Why? Of course I should.
It's for our own good -- to be understood.

C.E.O.s, M.O.s, bosses and division leaders --
Come gather under me. My mission: bottom feeders.
We'll slaughter the pig and rig the machine.
It's time to clean. What I mean -- the obscene.
I don't know if I should. Why? Of course I should.
It's for our own good -- to be understood.

You. Me. We're different animals.
The connection's abysmal -- outlook dismal.
And while the sun shines orange light on us all,
It's up to the fallen to answer the call.
I don't know if I should. Why? Of course I should.
It's for our own good -- to be understood.

Not sure if I should. But, damn it'd be good.
I could and I would. Am I understood?

I guess that I should. Better than good.
I will and I am to be understood.

I know that I'm good. And good is good.
I am the one. Understood?

LAST MONTH: http://www.themusicalrevolution.com/weblog/freestylelyricspoetry/index.html Lyrics, lyrics and more lyrics PLUS a whole new musical movement happening in my hometown of North Bay, ON, Canada which is turning out some seriously decent bands! Check in with The Hometown Hecklers, Sobriety's Rejects, The Lyrebirds, The Leftovers, Dig Newton, Wyld Skyz and on and on (all in these pages)...

IMPORTANT!: So it turns out that Jimmy Page's manager was talking out of turn (so to speak). Page, Jones and Bonham will NOT be joining forces with a new singer, doing an album and touring. Robert Plant was against the idea from the get go, deciding to continue writing new and relevant material with Alison Krauss - which I can never refute. But still, it would be nice to hear new Zeppelin stuff :D The one (old school) band that could probably make more relevant music is the one band that is still trying to hold on to it's integrity - ahhh, the catch 22. Would YOU buy new Led Zeppelin?

NEWS: Are they dumping tax money or donating to worthy causes? Madonna donated over three million to Kabbalah last year and $0.00 to her very own charity, "Raising Malawi."?.. Australian live music fans have created this CRAZY website that airs streamed live shows for free. Moshcam is great promotion for Sydney venues and national/international artists alike: http://www.moshcam.com ... http://www.warchild.org/ - buy their latest album, "Heroes". You get the likes of Lilly Allen, Elbow and Duffy all covering artists like U2, Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder - the best of all worlds all wrapped in an industry friendly package... Talk about prodigies. The NY Philharmonic is going to play a composition by 13 year old George Frankle this month. Smart kid - he still hasn't decided on music as a career - guess he heard, LOL!..

PROPAGANDA: FINALLY, I see what the fuss is about. Lilly Allen has a THIRD NIPPLE :D.. Everybody who is anybody in music/entertainment is on the Obama bandwagon but I still trust more in his bullet proof suit :S.. Sad but fitting :( There was a shooting at the premiere of "Notorious" the new Biggie movie. I'm finally getting sense of the true tragedy... Radiohead to play the GRAMMIES :((( Sorry Thom, not even you can make me tune in to the Payola Music Awards...

Don't know what you ever meant for me, it was so long ago.
Don't know if you ever meant for me to remember the things you told me so.
From one bastard to another, I tell you, you're nothin'!
Stripped of every last piece 'a hope, I've nothing.
The vultures won't let me be.

I just want to violate -- you owe me somethin'.
Wanna suck you dry, spit out your hate -- somethin'!
Psychologically rapin' me.

It's over. I've given up. It was so long ago.
A puppet can't kill itself or be the star when it never got a chance to show.

I'm neither she nor he. I'm nothin'.
I need to feel you entering me; make me somethin'.
Make me believe!

Still Untitled - A WIP From The Upcoming Album Tentatively Titled S.A.L.A.G.I.A. by i220 & Speak Lexia

Look at this man about to commit.
So easy to forfeit -- more or less submit to,
His pitiful wishes --
Hypocritical mission.
While I legitimize my every decision.

Creation...
Leviathan...
Preceding chaos...
Can't visualize...
Traumatized...
The wire has been tossed out.
Needing more...
Needing...
Forever and every time.
Your prime plus one.
Climb all over.
Climb to the lowest.
Go and climb out of the nested,
Vested interest for the interested.
6.67 percent or more if you,
Would've persisted...
Resisted the urge to purge what you've listed,
As on the verge of a vast improvement.
En masse if you can prove what you meant,
But I doubt it...

Look at this woman about to commit.
So easy to forfeit -- more or less submit to,
Her pitiful wishes --
Hypocritical mission.
While I legitimize my every decision.

Envision...
A dog's prison.
Catalogue...
Division of volition.
I shun sympathy.
Simply...
Instinctively looking to those,
Who help themselves.
Composed of stronger,
No longer...
Fear mongering champions of soft.
I long to be stone --
Honed from the bones of the lofty.
I've known forever...
That I was never to shy from the lever,
But the endeavour is thankless.
Bound at the shank to a Panzer tank in a dank,
And musty place...
The human race has Grace but she's not,
A fair fighter. I might have gone quieter,
If she'd have ignited my flame earlier.
That pearl that he gave her was nothing but,
A good for nothing bribe.

Look at this child about to commit.
So easy to forfeit -- more or less submit to,
Such pitiful wishes --
Hypocritical mission.
While I legitimize my every decision.
While I labotomize with every incision.

LAST MONTH: Last month was business as usual plus December craziness. All that being said, MUSREV saw a decent amount of traffic. One feature that seemed to draw quite a bit of interest was the video: "Ebony and Ivy League", a 30 sec. short by Lucas. Check: http://www.themusicalrevolution.com/weblog/promotion/index.html

IMPORTANT!: HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2009 is looking to be a landmark year for yours truly (Me :D). That being said, I strongly hope that it will be a landmark year for the revolution as well. So. What I propose is a slight change of attitude. As the new website takes form, it would be nice if the focus shifted more to the positive - enjoying/supporting/creating NEW/great music. We (TheMusicalRevolution) are the ones who can make this happen. Thanks for sharing with us - please continue to do so :D

NEWS: The Recording Industry stateside has decided to forsake their plan of sue first and ask questions later. They have decided to take the high road and coerce ISPs to rat us out instead :S.. No more Warner Music videos on YouTube. Is that bad news?.. In a race to see who can become irrevelant first, Myspace has ditched "Project Playlist" (playlist sharing application) due to pressure from the RIAA - Facebook to follow... Chris Anderson wrote a book outlining how the music industry could benefit from today's technology and.. now a bunch of negative nelly blowhards are punching holes in his optimism and gloating like pissed off little spoiled brats who aren't getting their own way.. boo hoo...

PROPAGANDA: Wanna sell your used guitars for $100,000? Just smash 'em up, duct tape 'em, sell out music, then shoot yourself.. Too late, Kurt Cobain beat you to it (OH NO HE DIDN'T! :O)... Eminem is going to get out of releasing his next album "Relapse" me thinks. The second single is now all over the internet and it ain't even finished yet! I say he just throws a snare down and some freestyles, skips the promo BS and goes straight to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame already ;).. So. This is hI-larious! 2008: Coldplay release a song entitled, "Viva la Vida". The indy band, The Creaking Boards immediately accuse them of ripping off their song, "The Songs I Didn't Write." Then Joe Satriani accuses Chris Martin's crew of ripping off his 2004 song, "If I Could Fly." But it turns out that they all could be ripping off music from The Legend of Zelda??? Who knows? And. Metallica is Guitar Hero bound! Think that I just may download that game :O..

You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch by Dr. Seuss

You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch. You really are a heel.
You're as cuddly as a cactus, you're as charming as an eel. Mr. Grinch.

You're a bad banana with a greasy black peel.

You're a monster, Mr. Grinch. Your heart's an empty hole.
Your brain is full of spiders, you've got garlic in your soul. Mr. Grinch.

I wouldn't touch you, with a thirty-nine-and-a-half foot pole.

You're a vile one, Mr. Grinch. You have termites in your smile.
You have all the tender sweetness of a seasick crocodile. Mr. Grinch.

Given the choice between the two of you I'd take the seasick crocodile.

You're a foul one, Mr. Grinch. You're a nasty, wasty skunk.
Your heart is full of unwashed socks. Your soul is full of gunk. Mr. Grinch.

The three words that best describe you are, and I quote: "Stink. Stank. Stunk."

You're a rotter, Mr. Grinch. You're the king of sinful sots.
Your heart's a dead tomato splot with moldy purple spots, Mr. Grinch.

Your soul is an appalling dump heap overflowing with the most disgraceful assortment of deplorable rubbish imaginable; mangled up in tangled up knots.

You nauseate me, Mr. Grinch. With a nauseaus super-naus.
You're a crooked jerky jockey and you drive a crooked horse. Mr. Grinch.

You're a three-decker sauerkraut and toadstool sandwich with arsenic sauce.
