Fans Get Nude For Corporate Cash Cow...

Is it possible that solo acoustic cover music can cause so much decadence and frivolity? (LOL!;D

In fact: TheMusicalRevolution has a temporary myspace page under the name Corporate Cash Cow... which is the same name I use as a solo acoustic musician.

I thought it was extremely funny and resourceful when this young lady sent over this pic to entice me to joining her group.

If you would like more information on the aspiring young entrepeneur who sent over this pic check: [Censored by You].

Poetry by Cara: Clay

A TheMusicalRevolution.Com Freestyle, Song Lyric or Poem

sometimes i just don't feel human..
i just don't feel right..
as if i was made in a different image than you.
clay that continuously changes its form..
more often than not into something more beautiful than its predecessor..
people are born. they age. then die.
the end.

not i...
HA!
If only I were that simple I might sing my praises and thanksgiving to the gods.
But i'm an artform..not a robot..
I change with every breath of wind that blows my way.
New revelations come like clockwork now..
Warming my heart yet aging my soul..
If but I was a human I could live in the bliss of ignorance..
But..ah..
Alas I am art...a piece of work for all intents and purposes.
clay forming an exquisite new vase.
The clay never hardens..the glaze never applied.
For I won't stay a vase for long..and I don't know the next piece I'll become..
A moment can change a lifetime, and all life is simply a series of moments :)
In this moment I've smashed the clay flat once again..
No more vase..it's again time to begin a new design..
After this moment I'll become....

EDITORIAL:

Miles Davis. Miles "Mothafunkin' Davis! This is one cat that the musical world will be playing catch up with for generations to come. This last month saw the genius that was Miles inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Some have balked. Some shrugged. The rest of us say, "'Bout time!"

So. Why Rock and Roll you say? Why the Hall? Black Sabbath, Blondie and The Sex Pistols all got the nod. That seems about right. But. Why is everybody talkin' Miles?

Well, firstly, I'm gonna say that I'm just a little biased. The man is a bit of a hero of mine so take the following as you will, but here it is. I would argue that Miles deserves to be there more than any of these others. There I said it. No, I'm not a jazz snob. No, I'm not even a huge Davis music fan. I just think that Miles got it. He embodied what it is that we as a society want in a musician more.

Black Sabbath were(are) HEAVY. They overindulged with the best of 'em. They pushed the boundaries of Rock to the extreme of loud. And then they waited there for their money. Blondie/Debbie Harry is a woman. She walked the testosterone soaked road and not only survived but thrived. But, the fact that she is a she has overshadowed what it is she coulda been. People were/are too busy lookin'. The Pistols are the Pistols. They deserve to be there 'cause they inspired. But. It's the "Rock and Roll", not the "Pop Culture" Hall.

Miles is forever music. He embodies Rock more than the artists who used the genre to sell their ideas. He never stopped moving artistically. He was Bebop when cats were tryin' to understand Bird. He was modal when others were rushin' to catch up. He went electric when Jazzheads hated on the popular amped sound. And he was rock when rock was something to be.

Mr. Miles Dewey Davis never stopped to let commerce catch up. By working with all ages and races of musicians, he never let his "blackness" be any type of issue. And, most of all he wasn't afraid to grow up! He didn't have to be anything other than a musician that was developing daily,.. by the minute. Just by existing, Miles said, "Fuck You and your compartmentalizin' corporatizin' ways!" And... That's Rock and Roll BABY!

Mad Love,
i220

MUSIC NEWS:

1. McCARTNEY'S PROTEST CANADIAN SEAL HUNT: Paul and Heather have sparked a debate on whether the 500 year old Newfoundland/Labradour tradition is inhumane or not. Other stars such as Morrisey and Pamela Anderson have also voiced their support. For their part, Newfoundland officials have refuted the celebrities by calling them uninformed/unaware of the facts.

2. LALA.COM - VIRTUAL CD SWAPMEET: Part "Myspace", part "EBay" and part "Netflix" the new online service (full launch set for July) is shooting to be the biggest music database on the planet. The premise: For a dollar (plus 50 cents shipping and handling) users can trade "previously enjoyed" CDs. LaLa is still in beta test mode but it already boasts 1.8 million selections and is looking to reimburse the artist (20 cents on the sale) which is good news for the present day music industry. http://www.lala.com/

3. SHERYL CROW FIGHTING BREAST CANCER: The 44 year old singer/songwriter has been undergoing radiation treatment since having minor surgery for the dreaded disease last month. The recent tour had to be postponed but Crow isn't letting the C get the best of her; show dates begin in early June.

4. TOM JONES A BRITISH KNIGHT: 65 year old "Thomas Woodward" has been knighted at Buckingham Palace for services to music. TJ dubbed the experience a "great and humbling honour".

5. APPLE CONCERNED ABOUT OUR HEARING: iPods can produce sounds in excess of 115 db which can cause damage to users ears. In response, the megacompany has issued software that gives parents the control to cap their child's listening level. For more iformation check: http://www.apple.com/itunes/

6. WHO CARES?: First she doesn't pony up the dough (for charity no less). Then she gets slapped with a restraining order. All that's fine, but, when is Paris Hilton gonna reimburse me for the 15 minutes that I accidentally watched "The Simple Life" thinking it was my uncle's home movies? That's a quarter hour of my life that I'll never get back... "It's Hard Out Here For a Pimp". But, it's damn easy to impersonate a pimp on the big screen, exploit the mothafucka and turn it into Oscar gold!.. Busta's getting sued career is even making Andy Kaufman's wrestling career look legit... Janet Jackson, Tara Reid, Linday Lohan - I'll take "Fading Starlets Who Need to Accidentally Show Off Their Private Parts For Headlines" for 2000 Alex... This just in: New "made for TV" movie about the life and times of Michael Jackson to begin shooting. Playing the part of the disturbed Pop Star - Gary Glitter... George Bush asks Jessica Simpson to dinner. Jessica finds out that they won't be serving tuna... Chef is Dead :( No more "Chocolate Salty Balls". No joke. No.. more.. balls... OH NO! Pink did drugs. That explains a lot. Like her entire career up to this point... Looks like they've finally opened up the Biggie case again. Expect the case to be solved around about the time when nobody remembers who B.I.G. was... Who?
