Fans Get Nude For Corporate Cash Cow...

Is it possible that solo acoustic cover music can cause so much decadence and frivolity? (LOL!;D
In fact: TheMusicalRevolution has a temporary myspace page under the name Corporate Cash Cow... which is the same name I use as a solo acoustic musician.
I thought it was extremely funny and resourceful when this young lady sent over this pic to entice me to joining her group.
If you would like more information on the aspiring young entrepeneur who sent over this pic check: [Censored by You].

i know that alot of men like porn and men are supposed to be more visual than women, but this really bothers me to see a porn site on this website. i hate to see women exploit themselves sexually on the internet. i guess that comes from my being a rape crisis counselor, and meeting so many women that had to sell themselves into prostitution, ect to survive. so many of them were sexual assualt victims as children. but this is only my opinion. i think that this young woman has alot more going for her than to exploit herself and her body on the internet.

Well put Angel. I partly agree with you and thank you ever so much for putting a well informed opinion up on this topic. I was hoping to spark some conversation with this post. Thanks for indulging me. My point is that the North American psyche cares more about this girl's self esteem than it does about POOR people. I can't look in any direction at any time without seeing an advertisement prompting me to overspend my money. Meanwhile, a billion people on the planet live on less than a dollar a day. An American president who commits adultry gets immediately impeached but one who is responsible for the death of poor people is re-elected. I feel sad for this girl and her self esteem but it is her right as a FREE person. Who am I to say what is right or wrong? I can just give my opinion and thank anyone else who has an opinion for giving theirs.
Big Love.

this is your site matty and it's your perogative to post whatever you like, but i can not condone the porn site, especially when i looked at this woman's website. i don't agree with teen or kiddie porn. please take all of my entries of poetry, rock and roll quizzes, conspiracy theories off of your boards. i am a women's advocate against abuse and i see porn sites as abuse and degredation to women.

Actually, it is OUR site Angel. If you and the group want, I will censor this post. I'm going to put the question out there in my upcoming newsletter. If you want me to erase this post, simply say so. As I stated in the disclaimer, if the majority of the post's commenters wish for it to be erased then so be it. One's freedom ends where another's begins. Thanks for your support over the past year or so and much love to you and Mike.
Matty
PS. Will erase your posts, etc... ASAP

matty,
thanks for your post, you know i'm not on any kind of ego trip, it is your site and i'm just saying that i will leave rather than you having to change your site. being a survivor myself of sexual abuse and seeing so much of it as a counselor for rape/abuse survivors, it's very hard for me to condone porn on the internet. so it's just a moral question to me. there are so many porn sites that anyone can view at anytime. i just don't want to be involved with one. i am also a child advocate and to see teen age girls on this particular website you posted just made me sick to my stomach. too many young girls have to run-away from home because they are sexual victims from family members. then they end up on the streets and to survive, they become prostitutes and do porn.

Matty,
I saw the this post and I didn't have a problem with the picture. Nudity in it's natural form is fine, we'll get nude everyday. However, I have a major problem when there's the ability to click and go to a site where there's access to explicit sexual content. You can put all the claim that you must of 18 years old to enter this site however teenagers are naturally curious and will enter that site anyway.
As adults we have to use common sense and having such an easy access for children to get to this site is totally irresponsible on your part. Would you want your child or a friends child accidentally finding such a site?
Peace

i agree with earle, the picture of the woman's breasts didn't bother me, remember i came from the 60's where we barred our breasts all the time but it was the link to this young woman's website that bothered me. it's so easy to just click on it, and as i've said in the other posts, i am a child advocate and anyone can click on that website. when you really get into the website it promotes teen porn/child porn, ect. that's what bothered me.

I guess I thought I was doing someone a favor but in retrospect, it was irresponsible. I think it's become habit - as with advertising band's websites but in doing so I think I may have shut out some poor younguns especially if their parents caught them checking out nudes on a music site. If the comments are still in favour of this action by the end of the week then I will definitely remove the site address! And thank you Earle and Angel for looking out for the revolution. You can be sure that I will be more careful in the future - besides, MUSIC is the focus here anyway.
Big Love.

Yes Matty,
I'm still in favor of removing access to the young misses website. As you know I'm here visiting from www.stayhuman.org and over there we've become pretty tolerant to peoples posts from around the world. However, I have to tell you this, being a moderator over there if you posted this question there before you could left click to send your question I would've deleted it.
I'm not going to take any chance of the possibility that my curious 9 year old daughter or any other parents child under the age of 18 getting the chance to see an easily accessible porn site. I hope you make a move soon.

Spoken like a true parent my friend. I do not have kids but would probably feel similar to you if I did.
While I do not condone porn, prostitution or any kind of illicit solicitation for that matter, I just think (at this point in my life) that I do not put as much importance in it as many (especially on this side of the ocean). I probably fear social irresponsibility/greed, violence and drugs more for my future (hopefully) offspring.
For example, I see prostitution more as a result of greed/social irresponsibility and violence than exposure to pornographic content. Young ladies who are curious about their sexualities may feel ostracized by an older societies' sexual reservations. If the same young lady had been raped when she was younger (an act of control/violence) she may rebel and follow others into prostitution. (Maybe to her) we all want that big screen TV. By selling herself, maybe she can get hers, 'cause grunt work ain't gonna do it that's for sure. And, the violation against her may have taught her that this is what she's worth anyway.
So. If I believed that any one person could decide what's good for an entire group, I might erase a post that encouraged my 14 year old to feel it was their (or anybody's for that matter) "right" to own a Porsche while others starved. I might censor a post that glorified violence or drugs. I would probably do this BEFORE I censored a post that promoted porn. Note, that I would still censor the porn but only after I erased the other ones. Lucky for me, I believe that all should be able to post no matter what the content and then it's up to the masses to eradicate the offensive. Through all of the mays and whathaveyous, I can only say this one thing for sure: It's totaltalitarianism that I disagree with most.
But, maybe if I was a parent?
Two thoughts:
"...the fight that started with two words 'I'm right'", M. Franti
http://www.mrshendersonthemovie.com/ - for Angel. I saw the movie and it raised a lot of questions about the subject at hand for me.
Big Love.
PS. Thank yous to Earle and Angel for giving me hope in a world that's getting more apathetic. All my love to you two. If the world were to be run by a few then I'd want people like yourselves (not me) to be in that number.

Yes, I did say that if you posted that question on Stay Human I would delete it. However, I thought about it after observing it being posted in the music and I can't delete it. I have to give the people a chance to voice their opinions for or against such content in a post.
Matty, you may get more response however if this was posted on the world board but I'm not the only moderator and it may get deleted immediately. The music board sometimes only focuses on music. So I hope the peeps voice their opinions quickly before it's gone for good.

TheMusicalRevolution has spoken. Those who care about the issue wished for the above pic to stay but the young ladies link to her porn site to be erased. The rest of us haven't raised any objections so it is done. I'd like to thank those who raised their concerns here! You have helped to make this a better board and given me insight into what will make a better site for the future. If in the future, anybody has any objections to any content on this site, please feel free to raise your concerns by commenting on that posting. If the majority of individual commenters feel the same way then the content in question will be replaced by the phrase, [Censored by You]; you being the democratic public of music fans.
Thanks for making democracy work.

Be prepared to enter a world of people who care :)
