'Cause it's a Thriller Night

...And what would Vincent Price say if he was payed to ;)

Darkness falls across the land
The midnite hour is close at hand
Creatures crawl in search of blood
To terrorize y'awl's neighbourhood
And whosoever shall be found
Without the soul for getting down
Must stand and face the hounds of hell
And rot inside a corpse's shell
The foulest stench is in the air
The funk of forty thousand years
And grizzy ghouls from every tomb
Are closing in to seal your doomA TheMusicalRevolution.Com Freestyle, Song Lyric or Poem
And though you fight to stay alive
Your body starts to shiver
For no mere mortal can resist
The evil of the thriller

Gold Dust Woman - Corporate Cash Cow...

FREE MUSIC - A reworking of the Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac classic.

In mixing this song, I was going for the campfire jam feel. The stereo imaging is wide open. The reverb is outdoorsy/spacious. The tones are, uhm, well - getting there. Let's just say that it's a learning curve that's getting ahead of me. All that said, I'm proud of the musical arrangement and once I catch up technically...

Rock on gold dust woman.
Take your silver spoon and dig your grave.
Heartless challenge; pick your path and I'll pray.
Wake up in the mornin',
See your sunrise loves to go down.
Lousy lovers, pick their prey but they never cry out loud. Cry out.

Well did she make you cry, make you break down,
Shatter your illusions of love?
And is it over now? Do you know how,
To pick up the pieces and go home?

Rock on ancient queen.
Follow those who pale in your shadow.
Rulers make bad lovers.
You better put your kingdom up for sale;
Up for sale.

Oooh, pale - shadow of a woman.
Black widow.
Oooh, pale - shadow of a traitor.
Death woman.

Poetry: RENEWAL

Life continues
to amaze me
you plant seeds
they grow
thrusting up through
the earth
pushing
against all odds
bursting alive
in the morning
sun
they open
and catch
a breath
of air
petals
dripping
with dew
colors
so
vibrant
and
new
and
so
life
continues
with
each
break
of dawn
and
renews
my
spirit
so
i
can
go
on.

For the last 3 or so years, my brother Ben has been playing bass in a number of projects. His independent rock band, Minque featuring lead singer/songwriter Luc Martin (The Mode/Burst) has been featured in these pages many times. Check: Reviews on this site.

At the same time that Minque have been out in full force, Ben has been working hard on another project. Alcona, featuring Mr. Derek Mackenzie (Len/Hip Club Groove) have been quietly getting ready for the last two years. The time was well spent. An album was recorded at The Barn (Stoney Lake,ON) with famed Sony producer Jeff "Diesel" Dalziel. A video was shot with the help of a FACTOR grant. Management secured (Management Trust) and indy record label in tow (Kindling Records) the band are now finally ready to take the world by storm. Much Love and Respect boyz - Tear tha roof off!
