Gold Dust Woman - Corporate Cash Cow...

FREE MUSIC - A reworking of the Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac classic.

In mixing this song, I was going for the campfire jam feel. The stereo imaging is wide open. The reverb is outdoorsy/spacious. The tones are, uhm, well - getting there. Let's just say that it's a learning curve that's getting ahead of me. All that said, I'm proud of the musical arrangement and once I catch up technically...

Rock on gold dust woman.
Take your silver spoon and dig your grave.
Heartless challenge; pick your path and I'll pray.
Wake up in the mornin',
See your sunrise loves to go down.
Lousy lovers, pick their prey but they never cry out loud. Cry out.

Well did she make you cry, make you break down,
Shatter your illusions of love?
And is it over now? Do you know how,
To pick up the pieces and go home?

Rock on ancient queen.
Follow those who pale in your shadow.
Rulers make bad lovers.
You better put your kingdom up for sale;
Up for sale.

Oooh, pale - shadow of a woman.
Black widow.
Oooh, pale - shadow of a traitor.
Death woman.

Gurl driven fluff rawk. Pretty faces not afraid to get tangled up in the ball of wool that is life :P I (i220) mention this because I have been inspired to write 12 songs for this very project which will be heded up by my very own Gus gurl aka Kiti. The songs were so inspired that they took me about a week to write with only one melodic idea coming from past projects... I am currently demoing. 4 guitar trax in and I'm already gettin' pretty stoked. Whether the songs get used in part or whole by the gurls is to be determined but either way you should be seeing the fruits of this inspired labour up here later than sooner :)
Big Love.

i love stevie nicks and always have. she has such a distictive voice and such courage. with all the ups and downs that fleetwood mac had in their day, she stayed cool.
