THEMUSICALREVOLUTION.COM THIS MONTH: Viet Nam. El Salvador. 58 Countries and counting. Worldwyde baby! Fleetwood Mac's "Gold Dust Woman" as arranged and performed by Corporate Cash Cow... is all but ready to post: Gold Dust Woman Funkadelic's "Red Hawt Mama" as arranged and performed by i220/special guest should be available by month's end *crosses fingers*: Red Hawt Mama WebmasterFinnay has let me in on some more spam-blocking secrets for: Free Speech: themusicalrevolution.com so keep on tha lookout for that. And finally, I have been researchin' web "technologies" and looking to design a Mark II of this site. The idea would be to make it more interactive/informative/communal. If you feel that this site could better serve you (as a lover of NEW music) in any way please, PLEASE don't hesitate to forward ideas to: weblog@themusicalrevolution.com

EDITORIAL: "Drivin that train, high on cocaine..." So, this upcoming month will be the month of reckoning. Can I complete the "Independent Musician Cross Canada Tour"? Part 2 (Eastern Canada) has been in the planning for a few weeks now and damn it's a hard sell! One cat, a guitar and a pocket full of songs tryin' to perform his way across the country; who's buyin'? LOL!! But, I am determined and doing it alone: The practicing, the planning, the purchasing, the booking, the bussing (well, Gus'll keep me company on that one, I hope), the performing, the promoting and the wheeling and dealing. So here it is, the moment of truth. Wish me luck. I'm going in. Will let you know when the dust settles.

Big Love,
i220

NEWS:

1. MURDERED SCOTTISH TEEN MUSICALLY EULOGIZED: The band "The Killers" have recorded a song, "Where Is She?", to remember murdered 14 year old Jodi Jones. The 14 year old from Dalkeith was murdered in June of 2003 by her then boyfriend. "Where is She" Lyrics

2. GWEN STEFANI GIVES TO TSUNAMI RELIEF: Proceeds from her new "What color is love?" t-shirt will be donated to the survivors of the recent disaster in South Asia. The t-shirt is the latest offering from the No Doubt singer's L.A.M.B. line of clothing. No Doubt Web Site

3. STEVIE WONDER'S VIDEO FOR THE BLIND: "So What's The Fuss?" - the latest release by the visually impaired funkster is the first music video to contain an additional audio track which describes the action taking place on the screen. "So What's The Fuss" Video Clip

4. LIVE AID 2 IS IN THE WORKS: Bob Geldolf has unveiled the plans for a second Live Aid concert which will be dubbed, "Live 8". The event will be held in London's Hyde Park on the 2nd of July with other concerts in Philadelphia, Paris, Rome and Berlin. Madonna, Coldplay, REM, Dido, Sir Paul McCartney, Keane, U2, Oasis, The Rolling Stones, The Who and Elton John are all slated to perform. Unlike the original show held 20 years ago, this one will be directed at the G8 summit and debt relief for third world countries.

5. WHO CARES? - Little band signs big deal. Little band gets big. Little band wants out of said deal. I have a really hard time routing for Linkin Park wanting out of their contract with Warners. Just finish your obligation and move on - quit pissing and moaning... The Stones should be back on the road by August. A new album with new material. Same old band. Same older musicians... Speaking of capitalizing on old success. Cream got back together for one more dance in the white room. I loved Cream when Eric was a little less slick, Jack a little less creaky and Ginger a little more ginger. But the idea of paying 4 grand for a ticket to see a band who hasn't played a show since the sixties seems a little like paying $20 to get in to watch kareoke night at the 4H club... Has Beyonce fired her dad? Man is she gonna get it when mom comes home... I'm sure you heard about Kylie Minogue and her breast cancer surgery. No jokes - much love!.. Apparently, Limp Bizkit has gone back underground. Oooohhh! Does that mean that I'll see Fred working out in the garden center with me this summer? Yeah right! Fred - sucking doesn't mean underground - kwite the opposite.
