THEMUSICALREVOLUTION.COM THIS MONTH:
This month we'd like to send out big love to Keith, Dug, Jess, Morgan, Cate and recognize these NEW countries to tha fold: Ireland, Israel & Yugoslavia. 52 Countries and counting. Just a note: You will find free samples of music on these pages of the site - http://www.themusicalrevolution.com/i220.php OR http://www.themusicalrevolution.com/ccc.php
I mention this now because I have been hard at work and hope to be posting new music in the immediate future. This means, due to limited space, that some of the songs currently posted will be removed. So, help yourself and stay tuned :)
EDITORIAL:
Because themusicalrevolution.com - is a communal page, even in it's current, very rudimentary state it enjoys a lot of traffic. 10,000 hits/1500 visits monthly - 52 countries so far. We are looking to make great changes in the mark II version which will hopefully come to fruition within the year. Mark II will better serve the group and music.
Slowly we've seen more and more people sharing their wisdom by commenting on the many posts on the Free Speech: themusicalrevolution.com page. This is where we'd like to see even more! Many have their own forums dedicated to their own convictions and we wish to offer support to these and all other independent music related projects. Drop your ideas. Drop your link. But most importantly, drop your opinions by commenting on what others have to say. In short:
1. Klick here --> Free Speech: themusicalrevolution.com
2. Read up on what interests you - use the categories on the side to navigate.
3. When an idea/opinion strikes you - Comment.
If you prefer to divert the traffic back to your own page just put a link in the comments section, the comment on your own page and BAM it will happen. Again, the objective here is to help each other out. Many catz will get angry at you when you promote your interests on their boards. The difference - this ain't MY board! It's yours - so promote away. Sick of all the i220 posts on the main page? Send your own posts over to: weblog@themusicalrevolution.com - Comment, comment, comment...
Yeh, I kno that catz will do what cats will do and that's coo. Alls I gotta say is that this site has been MY ticket to the revolution. People send me music, concert invites, news, ideas, etc... But it ain't about me. I ain't administerin' this for a bunch of freebees and elevated status. I'm doing it for love and for music. Any comments?
Big Love,
i220
PS. Music stops wars daily.
NEWS:
1. SONY SUES BEATALLICA: A heavy meatal group who fuses Beatles and Metallica songs together is being sued by Sony Music. Tunes like "Leper Madonna", "Got To Get You Trapped Under Ice", "Blackened The U.S.S.R." and "A Garage Dayz Nite" have been cyberspace hits for the band but for now they have been forced to take down their popular website. Over 6000 fans have signed a petition but Sony ain't buyin' it - "All You Need is Love".
2. WELSH BOY BROUGHT BACK TO LIFE BY GREEN DAY?: The 9 year old was in a coma and on life support after being hit by a car. But, after one hour of listening to Green Day's "American Idiot" he was revived. Halleluiah!
3. NAS CONCERT SHOOTING: The Brixton Academy, March 22nd show was cut short when a gunman open fired. No-one was injured or arrested.
4. STARS SUPPORT NELSON MANDELA: March 21. South Africa. Mandela' Second Annual AIDS benefit concert. Will Smith, Jada Pinkett, India.Arie, Annie Lennox and members of Queen were among the stars present. In his opening speech, Mandela said he could not rest in retirement while Africa is still ravaged by AIDS. Amen Brother.
5. UK IS THE WORLD'S BIGGEST MUSIC BUYER: According the the BPI (British Phonographic Industry) UK consumers are the biggest music buyers in the world (2004). While the UK record industry boasts a 3% increase in volume sales over the previous year, Global sales declined by 1.3%. The UK numbers have been attributed to a strong album market. Sound practice :)
WHO CARES? - Bono. President of the World Bank? Snubbed! They could probably have used his money... Head, formerly of Korn is born again. Fo' serious! He was recently baptized in the Jordan river. Now we kno why the shitty Cameo cover... To celebrate their reconciliation, Fitty Cent and Tha Game donated over 100 Gs each to musical education causes. What? I didn't say nuthin!.. U2 inducted into the hall of fame by Springsteen, The Pretenders inducted by none other than Neil Young, Buddy Guy by both BB King AND Eric Clapton - The O'Jays byyyyy byyeee bye Justin Timberlake??? What tha Ef?.. Speaking of Mr. Blonde (pubes on his head), he's starting his own record label. As if American Idol wasn't enough... Enuff's enuf.

A brief correction-- Sony is *not* presently suing Beatallica. Sony/ATV Music Publishing sent a cease-and-desist notice to me and our ISP, threatening legal action, but no legal action has yet been taken.
