BIOGRAPHY
20/20 (Introducing Me and My Revelation)
it's Like this...
i-two-twenty, i've got plenty to give.
i live life day to day.
They might say that my motive is massive. Inspiration. Innovation.
i'm an independent musician, beat physician, producer and tone tactician.
i compose myself and be what i like -
Try curiously hard to like what i be.
Furiously, but, it's difficult for me,
To see myself doing anything but playing guitar,
Honing skillz on a slide trombone.
Far reaching, often self teaching.
My niche is embedded in the percussion section.
Correction, my existence is an intersection of music and life.
Knife cracks the surface as i perform the soundtrack on upright piano.
Uptight execs can't spare precious secs.
Not sex, but love from somewhere above.
So i sing about a dove named Hope.
i peer through a periscope of eloping melody,
To see freedom, independence and democracy in the eyes of a lady standing
next to me.
i shout out!
Jesus? Why? For me?
Indescribably self-absorbed, Craving adoration from nations of M.L.K.
killing, K.K.K., blood spilling selfishness.
Hell. i wish less for the east,
And more for my inner beast.
At least let me see the end of Bob Marley and John Lennon on reality T.V.
Leave Sly Stone alone with the everyday people.
My steeple elevates.
Wait! Beethoven's Third. Napoleon never gave us his word.
i heard from a bartender at Birdland who might save us.
Miles Davis. Run the voodoo down. Sound the alarm!
Who knew that that commercial for apathy could be so charming,
Disarming an entire population with free vacations,
And forty more stations on a larger screen,
Assembled in starving nations (increasing dissention i mean)?
Just so that i can see N any number of firemen extracting a girl from
a collapsing tower.
But, who has the power to save that flower from fading twenty years after,
Ready to jump, suicidal laughter permeating the rafters of her forlorn
mind?
Only music and its kind can find what life has left behind.
